چکیده

Abstract In this study, hydrogeochemical processes controlling groundwater chemistry and quality were investigated. Drinking water is supplied from (mostly spring well water) in the study area. The various parameters such as physicochemical parameters, major ions, trace elements nitrogen derivatives of samples analyzed. These analysis results are compared with drinking standards for suitability it does not exceed permissible limit values, except As F contents some samples. ion Yalvaç–Gelendost basin suggest that silicate weathering exchange main variation quality. types Ca–Mg–HCO 3 , Mg–Ca–HCO Ca–HCO basin. Non-carcinogenic health risk assessment associated arsenic, nitrate fluoride was assessed by oral (ingestion) dermal pathways adult child. For child, hazard coefficient index values less than 1, a negative effect on usage (skin contact) absorption expected. But, potential non-carcinogenic intake likely to occur adults. addition, carcinogenic element evaluated adults child related effect. through may pose risks children. adults, has been determined ingestion exposure cause cancer. Arsenic toxic human content decreases seasonal case, arsenic decreases.

Human Health Risk Assessment of Nitrate and Trace Metals Via Groundwater in Central Bangladesh

Groundwater plays a pivotal role as the largest potable water sources in Bangladesh. As agriculture is widely practiced in Bangladesh, potential nitrate (NO3¯) pollution may occur. Besides, excess amount of arsenic (As) has already been found in groundwater in many parts of Bangladesh including the present study area. Thus, this study was conducted to assess the NO3¯ status along with some trac...

Hydrogeochemistry of Groundwater and Arsenic Adsorption Characteristics of Subsurface Sediments in an Alluvial Plain, SW Taiwan

Many studies were conducted to investigate arsenic mobilization in different alluvial plains worldwide. However, due to the unique endemic disease associated with arsenic (As) contamination in Taiwan, a recent research was re-initiated to understand the transport behavior of arsenic in a localized alluvial plain. A comprehensive approach towards arsenic mobility, binding, and chemical speciatio...
